"Edible Plants of Arkansas" Event Planned
The McElroy house is continuing their series of the art of home. They invite the community to come to their location at 420 S 2nd St in Dardanelle to learn about edible wild foods this Sunday, April 30th at 1pm. (Find the FB event here) "Tamara Walkingstick, Associate Professor of Forest Resources, Associate Director for the Arkansas Forest Resources Center, will present on gathering and preparing Arkansas wild foods. She will be joined by members of the Yell County Extension Service." Walkingstick is a member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, serves on the board of the Arkansas American Indian Center and the Arkansas Urban Forestry Council and is a member of the National Network of Forest Practitioners.
